Ukrainian meat will be supplied to Moscow following visit of Moscow's Food Dept

The city of Moscow's Food Department delegation was on a visit to Ukraine from March 31 to April 4, to discuss supplies of Ukrainian foodstuffs to Russian capital, press-service of Ukraine's agriculture ministry has informed. During the visit a preliminary agreement was reached about supplies in 2003 of 78,000 tonnes of cattle meat, 4,500 tonnes of pig meat, 2,300 tonnes of poultry meat, 8,200 tonnes of vegetable oil from Ukraine to the city of Moscow.

The negotiating parties expressed their mutual intent to continue and expand their cooperation and discussed some difficult issues in mutual trade relations, i.e., untimely VAT refund to Ukrainian farm and food processing enterprises, overcharged rail tariffs in transportation of Ukrainian freights over the territory of Russian Federation, etc.
