Crimean livestock sector showed growth in the 1st quarter
Crimean government has summarised working results of the Republic's agriculture in the first quarter of 2003, Press-Service of Crimean Council of Ministers informed April 22.
Growth tendency has been preserved in livestock sector. Production of meat over January-March increased 16.6 percent, production of eggs - 5.6 percent, production of milk per one cow - 8.8 percent (493 kg). The numbers of pigs and poultry on the peninsula increased 8.3 and 17.3 percent correspondingly.
However, the numbers of cattle decreased 2.6 percent, of sheep and goats - 4.8 percent.
