Government intends to regulate prices for grain and processing products
Ukrainian government intends to regulate formation of prices for grain and products of its processing by restricting profitability. The draft decree on the issue is now being prepared, Agrarian Policy Minister Serhiy Ryzhuk said Monday at a press-conference in the Cabinet of Ministers.
He said the measure was aimed at evening down the incomes within the chain raw material - processing - finished product, and at prevention of overprofits at any link of the chain.
He said the document would be prepared with obligatory participation of Anti-Monopoly Committee and the Ministry of Economy, in order not to "chop" the economy of enterprises and at the same time to even the profits between these links.
