Association of Wholesale Markets of Ukraine to be a co-organizer of the largest potato & vegetable forum in Ukraine

Association of Wholesale Markets of Ukraine (Shuvar in Lvov, Stolychnyi in Kiev and Gospodar in Donetsk) will be the co-organizer of the 4th International Conference “Potatoes and Vegetables of Ukraine – 2012”, which will take place in Kiev, February 16-17, 2012. The Association unites the largest wholesale markets in Ukraine with the aggregate share of up to 18-20% in the fresh produce trade in the country. Since May 1, 2012, the Association will be joined by another wholesale market which will be opened in Odessa that will increase the Association's share to 25-27%.

The basis of the leading potato and vegetable forum in Ukraine was laid at Shuvar Wholesale Market during the first conference-exhibition in 2009. At the same time, the first conference was also a place where the concept of Association of Potato Producers of Ukraine (another co-organizer of the current conference) was elaborated.

By tradition, the organizers decided to offer participants a two-day conference format (plenary sessions and a practical part). The first conference day (February 16) will be held at President Hotel's conference hall, while the second day (February 17) will be devoted to the business-tour which will be scheduled in the nearest time.

The conference program deals with all key issues of the potato and vegetable business with the main emphasis made on export possibilities for Ukrainian potatoes and vegetables as well as peculiarities of producers' work with Ukraine's retail chains. Please, see the conference programto learn more about the current conference's novelties.

Altogether, the organizers expect more than 150 delegates from 10-12 countries throughout the world to take part in the event. Traditionally, more than a half of them will be producers of potatoes and vegetables. As of today, their participation has been already officially confirmed by more than 50 companies. Furthermore, your participation will be even more advantageous thanks to special conditions granted to Ukrainian farmers that will guarantee a high level of their attendance!
